Penang Bridge

Stretching over 13.5 km, the Penang Bridge is the longest in Southeast Asia. The symmetrical fan-shaped centre span that rises to a height of 225 meters makes the bridge unique. The bridge took 5 years to build and was opened in 1988.

Komtar

Komtar is the tallest and most prominent contemporary building in Penang. Situated in this 65-storey tower are government offices, private enterprises, restaurants and departmental stores. At the top of Komtar is a platform that offers a panoramic view of the city and Penang Island. Next to Komtar is one of the famous shopping centers in Penang - Pragin Mall.

Ferry

This transportation is used for people who travel to Butterworth and vice versa, mainly for transportation rather than sightseeing purpose. Ferries service transport cars and people to and fro from the main land to the island everyday. The trip across the 3km channel takes about 20 minutes.  You can enjoy the vision of ferries traveling almost sideways to cross the channel with the occasional very strong tidal flows.

Kek Lok Si Temple

Build in 1886, the Kek Lok Si Temple is one of the largest and the grandest Buddhist Temple in South East Asia. In the temple compound is a 30 meter seven-storey tall pagoda. Cultures from 3 different countries, namely China, Thailand and Burma, are reflected in this Pagoda. During special occasions like Chinese New Year, the whole temple will be lit up with thousands of light bulbs.
